Report: Hornets, Mavericks interested in D.J. Augustin

The Charlotte Hornets and Dallas Mavericks are among those showing an interest in free-agent guard D.J. Augustin, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports.
Augustin is coming off a breakout season with the Chicago Bulls, which should serve him well on the open market. In 61 games, the 26-year-old averaged 14.9 points (a career high), 2.1 rebounds, and 5.0 assists.
The No. 9 overall pick of the 2008 NBA Draft, Augustin has said he would love to return to the Bulls for a second season, but as Kristen Fazio of Rant Sports notes, the Mavs are in a good position to offer him a bigger deal.
