Report: Grizzlies PF Ed Davis will become an unrestricted free agent

Memphis Grizzlies power forward Ed Davis has not been extended a qualifying offer and will become an unrestricted free agent, Yahoo! Sports reports.

Analysis:

After signing Zach Randolph to an extension last week, it appears Memphis is ready to move on from Davis, who appeared in 63 games last season. Davis has seen his playing time fluctuate after coming over from the Raptors two seasons ago, and he's started only eight of 99 possible games with the Grizzlies. Moving on is probably best for Davis, as he could undoubtedly find a larger role with a new team.
