Report: Magic trade Afflalo to Nuggets

Kim Klement / USA TODAY Sports

The madness of draft day is upon us.

According to reports the Orlando Magic have traded guard Arron Afflalo to the Denver Nuggets in exchange for Evan Fournier and the 56th overall pick in Thursday's draft.

The 28-year-old swing man played three seasons in Denver between 2009 and 2012 before being traded to Orlando as part of a four-team deal in 2012. He had the best season of his career last season, averaging 18.2 points, 3.4 assists, 3.2 rebounds in 35 minutes per game.

In Fournier, the Magic add a 21-year-old outside shooter, who has knocked down 38.1 percent of his shots beyond the arc in his career. The 6-foot-6 Frenchman played a career-high 76 games with the Nuggets last season, averaging 8.4 points per game while attempting just over three three-pointers per game.

The speculation among NBA insiders is that this move could be the beginning of something much bigger over the course of the night.

This is going to be a very fun night.
