Calderon was dealt from the Mavericks to the Knicks on Wednesday, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.

Analysis:

Calderon was joined by Samuel Dalembert, Shane Larkin, Wayne Ellington and a second-round draft pick, who were sent to New York in exchange for Tyson Chandler and Raymond Felton. With Derek Fisher poised to implement Phil Jackson's Triangle offense, Calderon may be the perfect point man to facilitate the change. Although Calderon's stat line may not experience a drastic change, a nice uptick in assists from last season's 4.7 per game could come to pass.
