Report: Knicks' Anthony asked what it's like to be famous in Chicago, will opt out Monday

Carmelo Anthony has yet to inform the New York Knicks whether he'll test free agency this summer, but in the meantime, he's reportedly been doing some Chicago research.

As in, what's it like to live there when you're famous.

From ESPNNewYork's Ian Begley:

Anthony, according to league sources, has already done some homework on the Bulls and the city of Chicago. He has talked to more than one high-profile person who lives in Chicago about what it's like to be famous in the Windy City, league sources say.

The Chicago Bulls were noted earlier this week as the favorites to land the coveted forward. As Begley notes, Anthony reportedly queried Bulls center Joakim Noah during All-Star Weekend in March about what it's like to play under coach Tom Thibodeau.

In related tweets, a source close to Melo believes he's got bad news for the Knicks on Monday.

Anthony has a Monday deadline to opt-out of his $23.5 million deal for the 2014-15 season.
