J.J. Redick was 'weeping' at breakfast Friday after Clippers' elimination

Three-point field goals aren't the only thing J.J. Redick can make rain down, apparently.

On Friday, the Los Angeles Clippers sharpshooter revealed that tears are a part of his rain-making repertoire as well, admitting that he cried at breakfast Friday following the team's Game 6 elimination against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Thursday night.

A USA Today post-game report also indicated that Redick's eyes were "pink and welled up" following the game.

All of this is understandable, of course. We can't imagine what it's like to go to war with a group of guys for six months, with huge expectations, fight through the drama of the Donald Sterling situation, and then fall short of your goals with back-to-back late-game collapses.

If it's any consolation to Redick, he'll have a chance to try again next year with a core that should be made up of mostly the same names. Only one of the team's top eight rotation players - Darren Collison - is a free agent this offseason, so expect the Clippers to be one of a handful of preseason favorites.

Redick wraps his eighth NBA season having averaged a career-high 15.2 points but in just 35 games due to back issues that kept him sidelined for a significant chunk of the season. He also averaged 17.7 points in 13 playoff games.
