Joe Johnson thinks the Nets 'match-up great' against the Heat

The Brooklyn Nets made it out of their first-round series against the Toronto Raptors in large part due to Joe Johnson's Game 7 performance.

Johnson posted a team-high 26 points in the series-clinching win, including a second-half string of 11 consecutive points for the Nets where it seemed he could have probably hit a shot from the nosebleeds of the Air Canada Centre.

Next up for the Nets are the defending champion Miami Heat, a side that Brooklyn swept 4-0 during the regular season and that Johnson thinks his team has a serious chance of knocking off.

"I think we match-up great," Johnson told ESPN. "Because having Paul [Pierce] at the four, I think they'll have more of a smaller four, and probably not as physical. So I think it could kind of play into our hands a little bit, but we'll see what happens."

Sizing up the Nets at the perimeter proved problematic for the Heat during the season. Johnson, Pierce, and Livingston are all 6-foot-7 or taller, and they all possess a solid mix of post-up skills and long-range shooting.

"It's been great keeping fresh bodies on guys like LeBron and D-Wade, and just making it tough for them," Johnson said. "We understand they have a great supporting cast and have a lot of guys that can make shots, so it's going to be a tough series."
