Steven Adams on Zach Randolph's suspension: 'It's really unfortunate'
Oklahoma City Thunder center Steven Adams said he was surprised to learn of the one-game suspension handed down to Memphis Grizzlies forward Zach Randolph on Friday.
Randolph was suspended for punching Adams in the jaw in fourth quarter of the Thunder's 104-84 victory over the Grizzlies on Thursday night, and will be unavailable for Game 7 of the first-round playoff series between the two teams.
"Yeah I was surprised. It's really unfortunate, really," Adams said Saturday, via Royce Young of CBSSports.com.
"Like I said, I was surprised he got taken out. Because I'm actually a big fan of him ... he's really smart with how he plays."
The Grizzlies could also be without Tony Allen for Saturday's game, as the guard is reportedly dealing with a swollen eye.
