Rockets' Jeremy Lin baffled after Damian Lillard's series-winning shot

Andrew Richardson / USA TODAY Sports

As it turns out, Houston Rockets point guard Jeremy Lin is just like the rest of us.

Not because he's earning a multi-million dollar salary as a professional athlete who just happens to own a Harvard degree, but because he thought the Rockets forced a Game 7 after Chandler Parsons' basket put them ahead with under a second left in regulation.

Instead, Lin was left baffled by Damian Lillard's cold-blooded Game 6 heroics.

“I was like, 'oh we won, the game is over. We scored,'" he said, via Jenny Dial Creech of Ultimate Rockets. "I didn't even know there was .9 left till we had the timeout. Then the worst case scenario was overtime cause we said no threes.”

Unfortunately for the Rockets, saying "no threes" and guarding the three-point line are two entirely different things.
