Gibson said after Tuesday's Game 5 loss to the Wizards that his ankle is "real painful" but not broken, and he will be examined Wednesday, the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Analysis:

With the Bulls having been eliminated from the playoffs, Gibson will have plenty of time to recover from the injury and prepare for offseason workouts and training camp. He had an excellent year off of the bench in 2013-14, and is likely to be the starting power forward for the Bulls next season.
