Jefferson (foot) has been told to abstain from physical activity for the next two weeks, the Charlotte Observer reports.

Analysis:

Jefferson's torn plantar fascia in his left foot sidelined him for Monday's Game 4 against the Heat, when the Bobcats were eliminated from the playoffs. Now in offseason mode, Jefferson should enjoy taking a two week rest period to quell his painful foot ailment. Following those couple weeks, Jefferson's training is expected to be limited to stationary bike work for another two weeks. In doing so, Jefferson should be able to avoid surgery, thus benefiting all parties.
