Joakim Noah: Defensive Player Of The Year
Noah has been named the NBA's Defensive Player of the Year, ESPN Chicago reports.
Analysis:
Noah recieved 100 first place votes and earned 555 of a possible 1,125 points to win the award. He is the first Chicago Bull to win the award since Michael Jordan in 1988. Noah averaged 7.7 defensive rebounds, 1.5 blocks and 1.2 steal per game while anchoring a defense that gave up the fewest opponent points per game and was second in defensive efficiency in the regular season.
