According to coach Steve Clifford, Jefferson may not participate in shootaround Wednesday before the team's Game 2 matchup with the Heat, the Charlotte Observer reports.

Analysis:

Jefferson did not participate in practice Tuesday because of the tear in his plantar fascia that he suffered in Game 1. He has come out and said that he will play through the injury, but it would be wise to check on his status before Wednesday's game. The Bobcats certainly need Jefferson in the lineup, as they are already down a game to the second-seeded Heat in the series.
