VIDEO: Chris Douglas-Roberts beats Hawks with buzzer-beating floater

The game didn't mean much, other than keeping Charlotte's chances at the six-seed alive. Atlanta had clinched, Charlotte had clinched, and all eyes were focused forward on the playoffs.

And then what looked like a who-cares affair turned into an exciting playoff preview, with the Bobcats storming back late and then eventually trading late shots with the Hawks, eventually securing the win on a Chris Douglas-Roberts buzzer-beating floater.

This, just seconds after Lou Williams had tied the game with a 16-footer of his own.

While the win doesn't exactly send waves through the Eastern Conference, it does serve as a nice affirmation of the seasons CDR has had.

Out of the league in 2011-12 after disappointing in two stops over three seasons, Douglas-Roberts earned a six-game audition with Dallas in 2012-13. This December, Charlotte rolled the dice on him and he's returned their investment several fold. His 6.8 points and 2.5 rebounds in 20.5 minutes don't do his impact justice, as he's also been a plus on the defensive end for a surprisingly effective defensive unit.

His return from the fringes of the basketball public to a contributor on a playoff team serves as a nice avatar for the entire Bobcats season.
