Minnesota Timberwolves forward Dante Cunningham has been released from police custody after posting bail Monday.

Cunningham was arrested Sunday for allegedly sending threatening text messages to his live-in girlfriend that police say "rose to a terroristic level." The arrest came three days after Cunningham was arrested and charged with felony domestic assault.

The 26-year-old could re-join the Timberwolves for Tuesday night's game against the San Antonio Spurs, as the NBA's collective bargaining agreement requires the league and its teams to allow players to continue to work while the legal process is completed.
