It's like, one minute Jason Kidd is trying to sneak an extra timeout to save his team, and the next minute he's coaching the same Brooklyn Nets to the highest winning percentage in the Eastern Conference over an entire month.

Kidds these days.

The NBA named Kidd and San Antonio Spurs' Gregg Popovich as the Eastern and Western Conference Coaches of the Month, respectively, for games played in the month of March.

Popovich, the perennial playoff coach, led the Spurs to an NBA-best 16-0 record over the month. The polished Spurs scored 100-plus points in 13-of-16 games, and 11-of-16 wins were by 10-plus points. San Antonio entered April riding a franchise-record 18-game winning streak.

Kidd's fortunes are on the upswing, and his team was undefeated (9-0) at Barclays in March. The Nets were the only team in the East to win every home contest over the month. On March 12, Brooklyn improved to 3-0 on the season over the defending champion Miami Heat.
