Speights made his first start of the season, replacing the injured David Lee (hamstring) in Friday night's win over Memphis. He finished with 15 points, eight rebounds and one blocked shot in 26 minutes.

Analysis:

Speights isn't the fill-in coach Mark Jackson would normally deploy, but the coach needed size against Memphis' big front line. In addition to Lee's injury, Andrew Bogut left Friday's game with a hip injury. So, there's an opportunity for Speights to see more playing time in the short term. However, in the past, Jackson has been more likely to trot out smaller lineups.
