Luke Babbitt News

Babbitt had a less than stellar showing at the Las Vegas Summer League, averaging 13.3 points (on 38 percent shooting) and 7.3 rebounds in four tilts, the Blazersedge reports.

Babbitt missed Saturday's finale after he banged knees during Friday's victory over Denver. Still, a third-year player has an expectation to control the action at Summer League, which he did not undertake. In fact, Babbitt was tentative and attempted to work off the dribble during the week, which did not work out. The Blazers should hope that he focuses on his shooting stroke the remainder of the summer, and enters fall camp eager to take (and make) spot-up treys and nothing more.
