Billups (knee) is aiming to play next season, the Denver Post reports. "I would like to walk out on my own and not have to crawl out," he said.

Analysis:

Billups is signed through the 2014-15 campaign, but a bout with tendinitis in his left knee eventually required surgery on Feb. 20, placing his ability to take the court again this season in question. On the year, he's been limited to 19 games, averaging career lows -- 3.8 points (on 30.4 percent shooting), 2.2 dimes, 1.5 rebounds, and 0.7 threes in 16.3 minutes -- across the board. While his rehab continues in earnest, it's unknown if his body will allow him to suit up in the final four weeks.
