Spurs assign Austin Day to the Toros

Austin Daye's brief stint with the San Antonio Spurs appears to be over as the team announced Saturday that he's been assigned to the Austin Toros of the NBA Development League.
The Spurs acquired Daye from the Toronto Raptors for Nando de Colo on Feb. 20 and he has failed to make an impression on the team.
Daye only appeared in two games for the Spurs, scoring six points in 3:20 of work. He scored eight points in eight games for the Raptors.
