Jason Terry: (Knee) Out For The Season

Terry has decided to rehab his surgically repaired left knee and will not play again this season, the Sacramento Bee reports. The Kings acquired Terry through trade Wednesday, but have no intention of buying out his contract.

Analysis:

Terry had been having the worst year of his veteran career and his ailing knee was likely the cause. It still comes as somewhat of a surprise though, considering that he contributed 16.3 minutes off the bench in Brooklyn this season. The plan for the Kings moving forward is to give rookie Ben McLemore and Ray McCallum more time on the court. On the flip side, the plan for Terry is to make a return next season with one year left on his current contract.
