Brewer (ankle) was waived by the Rockets on Friday, the Houston Chronicle reports.
Analysis:
The veteran signed with the Rockets in August but saw action in only 23 games this season, averaging 0.3 points in 6.9 minutes. The 28-year-old is just two seasons removed from starting 43 games and averaging 6.9 points and 3.5 rebounds for the Bulls in 2011-12, and it's likely he'll fetch some minor interest around the league. The Rockets signed Troy Daniels from the D-League to replace Brewer on the roster.
