76ers waive F Earl Clark one day after acquiring him
The 76ers apparently didn't have much use for power forward Earl Clark as the team released him less than 24 hours after acquiring him from the Cavaliers.
Cleveland traded the 6-foot-10, 225-pound Clark along with center Henry Sims and two second-round draft picks to Philadelphia in exchange for center Spencer Hawes.
Clark, in his fifth NBA season, appeared in 45 games for Cleveland, averaging 5.2 points and 2.8 rebounds in 15.5 minutes. He earns $4.25 million this season, but his 2014-15 salary is non-guaranteed.
