Leonard and Thomas Robinson will fill in for Joel Freeland (knee) in the Blazers' frontcourt during the next 4-to-8 weeks, the Blazer's Edge reports.

Analysis:

Freeland sustained a sprained MCL on Tuesday, thrusting the Blazers' two worst reserves into modest (at the very least) roles for the foreseeable future. After the injury, Leonard racked up 14 minutes on the court, versus Robinson's seven, posting four points (2-5 FG, 0-1 3Pt), three rebounds, and one steal. Leonard's +/- of minus-10 tells the story of his sophomore campaign, which has been exhibited by sparse play due to a simple lack of defensive understanding on a squad deficient on that front. He still may be a decent source of points in very deep formats, but it's difficult to take the leap on the center because coach Terry Stotts is apt to yank around his workload.
