VIDEO: Shaq says he and Kobe could have won 'five or six' titles

Shaq vs. Kobe is one of the most famous beefs in both basketball and rap history. An alliance gone sour surrounded by rumors of dysfunction, jealousy, and ego, the duo managed to reach the greatest heights in the NBA before being separated following a loss in the 2004 Finals.

As Kobe Bryant marches through the twilight of his basketball career, Shaquille O'Neal has found a place on television, holding down a guest spot on TNT's Inside The NBA.

Fellow panelist Charles Barkley picked the big man's brain this week about what could have been if he'd never split with Bryant, and after clearing the air on the cause for his departure from Los Angeles, Shaq laid down some lofty results for the dynamic duo.

On the reason for leaving: "It was a money situation... I was making 30 [million] at the time. They wanted me to go to 20, and I wasn't going to do that."

On how many championships they could have won: "A lot of people ask me that. I would probably go with five or six."

Both players tasted championship success after the split. Shaq won the 2006 title as a member of the Miami Heat, while Kobe led the Lakers to titles in 2009 and 2010.
