Season-ending injury to Nate Robinson won't change Nuggets' stance on Andre Miller

On Friday, it was announced that Nuggets backup point guard Nate Robinson was out for the remainder of the season with a torn ACL.

Naturally, the loss triggered many to wonder if Denver would attempt to put aside its differences with Andre Miller, who has been excused from all team activities after falling out with head coach Brian Shaw.

But Shaw quickly shut down any suggestions that the Nuggets will attempt to reconcile with the veteran point guard.

"There won't be any reaching out from our end," Shaw told the Denver Post. "I think we've operated and done everything that we're supposed to do. So, if there's any reaching out that needs to be done I think the reaching out has to come from him to us. But at this point we're still trying to evaluate the situation. The guys that are here are going to be our concern. That's something I've kind of completely taken myself out of and let whatever happens be dealt with between him, his agent and the front office."

The fallout between Miller and Shaw was the result of being pushed into the fringes of the Nuggets' rotation. Two months into the season, it was becoming clear that Miller's role on the team was being minimized, something the 37-year-old obviously wasn't too happy about.

It's hard to see Miller making the first move to patch things up with Shaw, but the loss of Robinson means that he'd almost certainly receive significant playing time if he's interested in making amends.
