JaVale McGee, who has been out since early November with a stress fracture in his left tibia, has begun some lower body activity on an elliptical machine, the Denver Post reports. "That's the only thing I can do. I can't ride the bike or the treadmill," McGee said. "I'm just staying positive and trying to stay in shape and get stronger... The biggest step is just for it to heal."

Analysis:

There's still no timetable for McGee's return, but this is a step in the right direction, albeit, a small one. Mid-to-late February is the earliest we'd expect to see him, and if Denver doesn't have anything to play for, it's not unreasonable to think he could potentially miss the rest of the season.
