Wolves' Budinger will make season debut Wednesday

Chase Budinger will make his season debut for the Minnesota Timberwolves when they take on the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday night.

Budinger had left knee surgery - a meniscectomy - at the start of the preseason this year to repair cartilage damage that was residual from a torn left mensicus suffered in 2012-13.

In four seasons in the league, the Arizona product has averaged 9.4 points in 21.6 minutes (never more than 9.8 or fewer than 8.9) with 3.4 rebounds and 1.3 assists.

The Wolves can use him, to be sure, and he figures to enter the wing rotation immediately. A patch-work of names have filled in with Budinger out and the team likely hopes he'll bring some stability to the position and rotation moving forward.
