Magic officially waive Hedo Turkoglu

Hedo Turkoglu hasn't played a game for the Orlando Magic since Feb. 4, 2013 and on Friday the team finally parted ways with the enigmatic forward. 

With the team severing ties with Turkoglu before his $12 million contract became fully guaranteed next week. The 34-year-old has not been with the team at any point this season as the Magic tried to package his expiring contract in a deal, but were unable to. 

Last season with the Magic, Turkoglu played in 11 games and averaged just 2.9 points and 4.2 rebounds in 17.2 minutes. He was suspended for 20 games for testing positive for metenolone in February and hasn't played an NBA game since.
