Analysis:

This comes as a major blow to owners, as Horford was averaging 18.6 points (57 percent FG), 8.4 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 0.9 steals, and 1.5 blocks per game for the season. Horford has come a long way as an efficient big man in this league, contributing in multiple categories especially from a fantasy perspective. While he isn't completely ruled out for the entire season at the moment, he's expected to miss the vast majority of games, which puts the Hawks at a scramble for reserve big men. There isn't one single player who will likely benefit from Horford's absence from a fantasy perspective. Elton Brand, Mike Scott, Gustavo Ayon, and Pero Antic will likely all split Horford's minutes, making it hard to recommend a particular pickup in most formats until we see how the rotation pans out.
