Odom pleads no contest to DUI, accepts 3-year probation period

Free agent Lamar Odom pleaded no contest to a drunken driving charge on Monday, according to The Associated Press.

Odom, who was arrested Aug. 30 after his car was spotted weaving on freeway in Los Angeles, also accepted a sentence of three years' probation and three months of alcohol abuse treatment.

City attorney's spokesman Frank Mateljan says Odom entered the plea Monday to one misdemeanor count of driving under the influence. As part of the deal the free agent made with prosecutors, he was ordered to pay $1,814 in fines and penalties.

The status of his suspended driver's license will be determined at a future hearing.
