Pacers SF Copeland accepting limited role in Indiana

Chris Copeland continues to be accepting of his limited minutes with the Pacers, especially considering that the team is winning, according to the Indianapolis Star.

"We have a deep team, if I don't play as much as I might have hoped, I'm still happy to be here," he stated.

Copeland has struggled to find his way into the rotation all season, playing just four minutes so far in a game that the Pacers were leading comfortably in the fourth quarter.

This comes as somewhat of a surprise, as the Pacers aggressively pursued Copeland in free agency, and coach Frank Vogel has had nothing but positive things to say about what he brings to the table. Copeland simply has found himself on a team that has great depth down low, and currently sits behind Roy Hibbert, David West, Luis Scola and Ian Mahinmi on the depth chart.

Vogel may have to get creative this season to get Copeland minutes, as he had previously experimented with Copeland at small forward, but has yet to use him in this manner during the regular season.

Instead, Orlando Johnson and rookie Solomon Hill have seen most of the backup wing minutes.
