Rockets waive C Camby and G Williams; get roster down to 15

Houston, TX (SportsNetwork.com) - The Houston Rockets have waived center Marcus Camby and guard Reggie Williams to reach the roster limit of 15.

Camby signed with Houston in late July after the Toronto Raptors bought out his contract earlier in the month. Toronto had acquired the 17-year veteran as part of the trade that sent forward Andrea Bargnani to the New York Knicks.

The 39-year-old Camby appeared in 24 games for the Knicks last season and averaged 1.8 points with 3.3 rebounds. He was traded to New York in July 2012 after spending the latter part of the 2011-12 campaign with the Rockets.

Williams, a four-year veteran from VMI, has averaged 8.6 points and 1.6 assists in 177 NBA games with Golden State and Charlotte.
