Jerebko and Charlie Villanueva remain in competition for the backup power forward gig with no clear-cut front-runner, the Detroit Free Press reports.

Neither player has impressed Pistons coach Maurice Cheeks enough to win the job outright, and now Cheeks thinks the two could split the role once the regular season tips off. "Either one of those guys could play at any given time," Cheeks said. "To me, I don't think anyone has separated himself to the point of me saying this guy will get more minutes or that guy will get more minutes. I don't think that has happened." The backup role these two are battling for was already expected to be light on minutes, and with the two potentially splitting that time, it will be tough for either to carve out much fantasy value.
