Magic F Maxiell will 'most likely' wear Horace Grant goggles this year

Jason Maxiell underwent surgery this year to correct a detached retina.

That sounds bad, but it paved the way for the greatest news of the NBA offseason.

No, not that Maxiell signed a two-year, $5 million deal with Orlando. That's all prelude to the big news, too.

Wait for it...

Jason Maxiell is going to wear Horace Grant goggles this season.

Boom.

According to Orlando Pinstriped Post, Maxiell, "will become the second player in Magic history to wear no. 54, following Horace Grant. And if Maxiell gets his way, he'll also don Grant's familiar and iconic goggles."

Maxiell is currently wearing a Bo Outlaw make of goggles but says the Grant ones are, "a little more durable, a little more my style."
