Camby cannot officially be traded to the Raptors until July 10 as the NBA did not approve the initial deal before free agency opened, the National Post reports. The deal remains agreed to in principle, but some details may change.

The initial deal would have sent Camby, wing Steve Novak, and draft picks to Toronto for injury-prone center Andrea Bargnani. Camby himself has two years left on his current deal, but because he appeared in just 24 games during an ailment-filled 2012-13 campaign, he may be reaching the end of the line as a relevant force in the frontcourt, in reality and fantasy. The trade will go through on July 10, but there may be some shuffling pieces to make salaries match.
