Fernandez (back) finished an injury-plagued first season with the Nuggets averaging just 8.7 ppg and 2.4 apg in 31 games before being sidelined for the rest of the year because of back surgery.
Fernandez appeared to be his old streaky self even when he was healthy early in the year. With so much depth on the club at scoring guard and small forward one has to wonder if Fernandez, who is now a restricted free agent, will even be pursued by the Nuggets who seemed to function just fine without him.
