Things went from bad to worse for the Atlanta Hawks.

Star guard Trae Young was ruled out for the remainder of Friday's 112-86 blowout loss to the Milwaukee Bucks after spraining his right ankle late in the first half.

Young said postgame he won't travel with the team for Saturday's matchup against the Chicago Bulls.

The 21-year-old was driving to the basket when the injury occurred, and teammates needed to help him off the court.

The Oklahoma product recorded 12 points in 15 minutes before exiting the game.

Young missed one contest earlier this season after spraining the same ankle in late October.

"I'll work my ass off to get back as quick as possible," Young told reporters after the game, including Chris Vivlamore of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. "I did that with my last time and I'm going to do the same thing to get back as quick as possible."

He's off to a torrid start in his second NBA campaign. Young entered Friday's matchup fourth in the Association in scoring (29.0 points per game) and fifth in assists (8.5). He finished second to Luka Doncic in last year's Rookie of the Year voting.

Atlanta owns the NBA's worst record (6-26), and the Hawks are currently on a nine-game losing streak.
