Boston Celtics All-Star Isaiah Thomas will be flying to Tacoma following Game 6 at the United Center on Friday against the Chicago Bulls to attend the funeral of his sister, Chyna, on Saturday.

Should the Bulls come away with the victory, Game 7 would take place Sunday in Boston at 1 p.m. ET.

Chyna was killed on the morning of April 15 in a one-car crash in Federal Way, Wash. Despite learning of the news during a team practice, Thomas managed to muster up the strength to take the floor for Games 1 and 2 at the TD Garden.

Thomas headed home for two days after Boston's loss in Game 2 to be with his family and friends.

"The support has been amazing," Thomas' close friend, Alonzo Weatherby, told The Boston Globe's Adam Himmelsbach. "It's meant the world for (Celtics head coach) Brad (Stevens) to tell Isaiah he has as much time as he wants. Basically, don't come back until you're ready to. This is family before anything, and that means the world."

Despite Stevens' compassion, Weatherby believes that nothing would keep Thomas from competing in a potential Game 7 if push comes to shove.
