The antics never end with the New York Knicks.

Fan Mike Hamersky - who had a highly publicized run-in with Madison Square Garden chairman James Dolan and says he has since been denied the opportunity to renew his partial season-ticket plan - will get no assistance from the NBA in the matter.

"With respect to the issuing of season tickets, that is a matter that has always been handled by our individual teams in their discretion," NBA VP of communications Mike Bass said in a letter to Hamersky, according to the New York Post's Marc Berman.

Hamersky, a 35-year-old lawyer from Queens, says he was frozen out of his online team account when he tried to renew his partial season-ticket plan for next season. He added that when he tried to complete the transaction by phone, he was hung up on.

One of several Knickerbocker fiascos this season, the drama began April 4 when Hamersky got into a verbal confrontation with Dolan outside MSG before a game against the Chicago Bulls. "Sell the team, Jim!" the fan said, prompting a stern rebuke from the much-maligned owner.

Dolan admitted to calling Hamersky an "asshole" and suggested he was intoxicated, something the fan denies.

Continuing to engage in the matter, Dolan wrote a letter to the Post's editor this week, stating that he "will not accept disrespectful, boorish behavior," but admitted the insult was unnecessary.

“When I confronted Mr. Hamersky, he was most surprised," Dolan wrote. "He thought he could hurl his insult from the shadows and there would be no consequence. When confronted, he ran away ... I probably could have been more eloquent in my response to him. That would not have changed the meaning."
