76ers' Ben Simmons: Recent CT scan comes back clean

A recent CT scan on Simmons' right foot came back clean and he's been cleared for five-on-five work, Brian Windhorst of ESPN.com reports.

Analysis:

Simmons is expected to gradually increase his workload in the coming weeks, so despite the being cleared for five-on-five work, the 76ers will likely continue to take a cautious approach with their prized point guard of the future. He's not expected to play in the Las Vegas Summer League in July and will instead turn his focus to getting back to full strength for the start of training cam. Assuming all goes well in camp, Simmons will open the season as the team's starting point guard, but may face some playing-time or game restrictions early on.
