Bucks' Giannis Antetokounmpo: Will rest Wednesday

Antetokounmpo will sit out Wednesday's game against the Celtics for rest purposes, Chris Forsberg of ESPN reports.

Analysis:

The Bucks have already secured a playoff spot, so they will opt to rest the All-Star in the regular-season finale in order to preserve his health entering the postseason. It's just the second absence of the season for Antetokounmpo, who will wrap up the campaign with averages of 22.9 points, 8.8 rebounds, 5.4 assists, 1.9 blocks and 1.6 steals in 35.6 minutes per game, all of which were career highs. With Antetokounmpo out of action, look for Michael Beasley, Malcolm Brogdon and Greg Monroe to fill most of the scoring void for the Bucks.
