Nets' Jeremy Lin: To be rested Wednesday vs. Bulls

Lin will sit out Wednesday's game against the Bulls for rest purposes, Brian Lewis of the New York Post reports.

Analysis:

Injuries mostly torpedoed Lin's season, but he was at least able to close out the campaign on a high note, averaging 15.5 points (on 41.9% shooting), 4.9 assists, 4.3 rebounds, 1.8 three-pointers and 1.1 steals in 25.0 minutes per game from March 1 onward. He should be in line to serve as the team's starting point guard again in 2016-17, but with Lin sitting out the season finale, Spencer Dinwiddie and Isaiah Whitehead will likely split the ball-handling duties.
