Russell Westbrook is finally taking a night off.

With both the sixth seed and history locked up, the Oklahoma City Thunder point guard will be held out of Tuesday's contest against the Minnesota Timberwolves to rest, coach Billy Donovan told reporters, according to Jerry Zgoda of the Star Tribune.

It'll be the Thunder's first game all year without Westbrook, who picked up triple-double No. 42 in Sunday's win over the Denver Nuggets to break Oscar Robertson's 55-year-old record.

The superstar's averaging 31.9 points, 10.7 rebounds, and 10.4 assists (all career highs) for the 46-34 Thunder.

Semaj Christon and Norris Cole figure to get more burn in his absence, while Taj Gibson and Andre Roberson will also be rested.

Donovan will talk to Westbrook before determining his status for the Thunder's regular-season finale Wednesday versus the Nuggets.
