Knicks' Carmelo Anthony: Ruled out Wednesday

Anthony will not play in the Knicks' season finale Wednesday against Philadelphia, Steve Popper of The Record reports.

Analysis:

The Knicks initially deemed Anthony doubtful, but the team has since clarified that he'll be among several regulars sitting out Wednesday, joining Kristaps Porzingis, Derrick Rose, Joakim Noah and Lance Thomas. It will be the third straight absence to end the year for Anthony, whose future with the Knicks is very much clouded as the offseason approaches.
