Warriors' Klay Thompson: Will be rested Monday

Thompson will sit out Monday's game against the Jazz for rest purposes, Anthony Slater of the San Jose Mercury News reports.

Analysis:

With just two regular season games remaining before the postseason begins, the Warriors will likely remain cautious with their key players, as Thompson will sit out one game after Stephen Curry (knee) was held out. Though Andre Iguodala figures to absorb some of Thompson's minutes, it's likely that younger bench options like Ian Clark and Patrick McCaw are going to benefit the most from expanded workloads. Thompson is likely to return for one final tuneup before the playoffs Wednesday against the Lakers, but may not see his usual 30-plus minutes in that contest.
