Love will sit out Monday's game against the Heat for rest purposes, Joe Vardon of Cleveland.com reports.

Analysis:

The team will rest Love, LeBron James and Kyrie Irving on Monday, one night after the team blew a 26-point fourth-quarter lead before falling to the Hawks in overtime. The Cavs are essentially conceding a loss to the Heat in an effort to preserve the health and stamina of The Big Three with the postseason set to begin over the weekend. With Love out along with starting center Tristan Thompson, who is still nursing a thumb injury, Channing Frye, Derrick Williams, Richard Jefferson and Larry Sanders should handle the bulk of the minutes in the frontcourt.
