Bulls' Dwyane Wade: Restriction expected if active Saturday

Wade (elbow) said Friday that he's hopeful to play in Saturday's game against the Nets and indicated that "between 15 and 20" minutes would be an ideal workload if he suits up, K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Tribune reports.

Analysis:

After scrimmaging Wednesday and practicing fully Friday without any complications, Wade noted that his fractured right elbow has fully healed, though the Bulls have yet to formally confirm the veteran's assessment. The team figures to make a final ruling on Wade's status Saturday, so for now, it looks like he may be a game-time call heading into the weekend. If Wade is able to make it through pregame warmups no worse for the wear, he'd likely receive clearance to play, but wouldn't be in line for a significant workload right off the bat. Even if that's the case, Wade's presence would still have a negative impact on the likes of Denzel Valentine and Paul Zipser, who had been picking up more minutes on the wing while Wade was sidelined the past 11 games.
