Nuggets' Jameer Nelson: Doubtful Friday vs. Pelicans

Nelson (calf) is listed as doubtful for Friday's game against the Pelicans, Harrison Wind of BSN Denver reports.

Analysis:

Nelson was back in the lineup Wednesday against the Rockets following a two-game absence, playing 32 minutes, but was noticeably hobbled by the right calf injury. He appears to be dealing with some significant discomfort after taking the court Wednesday and will now likely find himself back on the sideline Friday for additional rest and recovery. If Nelson is ultimately held out, Jamal Murray would presumably reenter the starting five, while Emmanuel Mudiay would also see a bigger workload off the bench.
