Heat's James Johnson: Shines in start Wednesday
Johnson scored 26 points (10-12 FG, 6-7 3Pt) with four rebounds, three assists and two steals across 32 minutes in Wednesday's 112-99 win over the Hornets.
Analysis:
Johnson has been a key cog in the revival of the Heat's season dating back to January, but he hadn't received a single start all season. That changed on Wednesday, and the athletic forward did not disappoint. Johnson converted a season-high 83.3 percent of his field goals on his way to tying his season-high point total with 26, and if that wasn't enough he also set a new career-high with six made threes. Johnson has been rolling as the Heat fight for a playoff spot, averaging 16.2 points on 49.6 percent from the field with 4.3 rebounds and 3.7 assists over his last ten games.
